This is a tin can for cigarettes from Dresden around 1905. This can was designed for a female buyership and to get them the company used two symbols in their visual communication: emancipation and freedom. With the arm set on her side the women looks like a female dandy and the legs are crossed (at 1905 this was a sign of domestic power, only the patriarch of the house was allowed to cross his legs). I’m not a smoker but this looks awesome!
